Question: In case of a tie between two candidates, what are the tie-breaking criteria for the COMEDK exam?

Answer:

  1. The order of merit in case of a tie will be determined based on the following criteria:
  • The candidate with the least number of incorrect answers will be given a higher rank.
  • If the tie persists, the marks of physics and maths in the exam will be compared, and the candidate with higher marks will be awarded a higher rank. The patterns of candidates in mathematics alone will be determined if the tie doesn’t end.
  • If the tie is still not resolved, the older candidate will be awarded a higher rank in the merit list.
