Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University (KIMSU), Satara was established in the year 1984 and is spread across 60acres of lush green land. The Krishna Institute of medical sciences was declared as “University” under section 3 of the UGC and Medical Council of India, New Delhi.

The hospital is equipped with 1100 bedded multi specialty tertiary care hospital with facilities for Critical Care, Endoscopic Surgeries, Dialysis, Cardiology, Cardio-vascular-thoracicsurgery, and Oncology, renal transplant surgery, Urology, Neuro surgery & Plastic surgery etc. It has fully equipped major operation theaters, minor theaters, labor rooms, blood bank, radio-diagnosis and radiotherapy, computerized medical records, counseling services etc. There are separate intensive care units like Medical, Surgical, Coronary care, Pediatric, Neonatal, Respiratory and Obstetrics.
