Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University – New Law College Pune was established in 1978, is a premier institute of International Excellence in the field of Legal Education. This College is part of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University and also approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and recognized with University Grant Commission (UGC) New Delhi.
The college was inaugurated in the year 1978 at the hands of Hon. Mr. Justice Y.V. Chandrachud the then Chief Justice of India. The foundation stone of the New Law College building was laid down in the year 2004 at the hands of the Chief Justice of India Hon. Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, the then judge Supreme Court of India.

Admission Criteria @ Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University – New Law College
As prescribed by Bar Council of India, Rules of Legal Education 2008, the applicant shall have passed 10+2 or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto and have obtained 45% of the total marks in case of general category and 40% of the total marks in case of SC & ST applicant.
The maximum age for seeking admission into the stream of 5 years bachelor degree course in law is limited to 20 years in the general category and in case of SC, ST and OBC applicants it is limited to 22 years.
