Department of Management Sciences (PUMBA) was established in 1971 in Pune. Being the official department for the MBA course at Pune University, it has been an image booster for PUMBA. Courses Available at Pune University
1.MBA++
It’s a six-semester 22 22-month flagship program from PUMBA. The batch size is 180 and students can choose from Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Systems, Operations, and International Business.
2.MBA Pharma Biotech
This course is initiated by PUMBA for graduates from the Biotechnology and pharmacy sectors to develop managers. This course is one of the first of its type in India. With this course, PUMBA has successfully introduced skilled manpower in the field of Bio-Agriculture, Bio-Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, along with sectors such as Bio-suppliers and Bio-informatics. This is a 2-year program of 4 semesters.
3.Executive MBA
Executive MBA is a 2-year program that is divided into 4 semesters. Classes for the Executive MBA students are conducted in the evenings. Students have to opt for one of the six functional specializations in the second year. The specializations for this course are Marketing, Human Resource (HR), Finance, Operations, Systems, and International Business (IB). This course has been especially designed for industry-experienced people.
4.BBA (HFM)
This BBA Course of 3 years spread over 3 years. This BBA course was introduced in 2018 with a strong focus on Hospitality and Facilities Management. The course has a total of 130 credits offered for 3300 marks.
PUMBA MBA: How to Apply?
The candidates who will qualify for the MH-CET will have to attend the CAP process. The students who are from a state other than Maharashtra have to apply for the CAP from the official website of DTE.
The CAP will be done in 4 rounds. The first three rounds will be conducted on the basis of Centralized Allotment. In the 4th round, counselling will be done only for the Maharashtra state candidates who are eligible.
