Graduate Management Admission Test (G.M.A.T)
( Know about GMAT and Direct MBA Admission in Best Colleges )
The Graduate Management Admission Test (G.M.A.T) is a computer adaptive test (CAT) intended to assess certain analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills in written English for use in admission to a graduate management program. It requires knowledge of certain grammar and knowledge of certain algebra, geometry, and arithmetic. The G.M.A.T does not measure business knowledge or skill, nor does it measure intelligence. According to the test owning company, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the G.M.A.T assesses analytical writing and problem-solving abilities, while also addressing data sufficiency, logic, and critical reasoning skills that it believes to be vital to real-world business and management success.
The Graduate Management Admission Test (G.M.A.T) is a computer adaptive test that assesses a person’s analytical writing, quantitative, verbal and reading skills for being admitted into a graduate management program. It is a registered trademark of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). Over 5,900 programs offered by more than 2,100 universities and institutions use the G.M.A.T exam as part of the selection criteria for their programs. Business schools use the test as a criterion for admission into a wide range of graduate management programs, Master of Accountancy, and Master of Finance programs.
The G.M.A.T exam is a computer adaptive test and not a computer based test, which means that the candidate will get one question at a time and depending on the accuracy of the previous answer, the difficulty level of the next question will be ascertained. The average scores required for universities abroad varies; Best tier universities require at least 710, while middle tier universities accept 600.
